There are many different kinds of campers on the market today. Jayco is a leader in sales. There are many different styles from which to choose. Not everyone has the same needs or wants and you need to pick one that is best for your family. Jayco sells travel trailers, lite-weight trailers, camping trailers, fifth-wheel trailers, toy haulers, and other styles. With the travel trailers, you can choose from four different styles. The Eagle 320RLS has all of the above but also comes with an optional 20-foot awning. These do need to be hooked up to a truck with a 5th wheel.

Pop-up campers are cheaper than travel trailers and are easier on a family budget. While cheaper, they are still nicer than having to sleep in a tent. They do not have as much space as bigger trailers or RVs but are easier to tow. You can use your SUV or Van and do not need special mirrors for your truck. Pop-ups collapse and are lower profile, making them easier to store when not used. It can be rough having to set one up in a wind and rain storm. Also, the storms can cause rocking which young children may not like. They do offer more protection than a tent, which women like if small children are present.

Some of the extras you can get include an awning, electrical jacks, an oven, privacy drape, roof rack, ladder plus many others. These are good for people who like some convenience but still feel like roughing it. When using your campers, you do need to use tie-downs to hold them in place. Tie-downs are anchors that go onto the camper and truck to hold it in place.

Many people find that tents were great when they were younger and went camping. As your body gets older and you get more aches and pains you will find that you enjoy your camper more.
